Double Meat Chili Recipe
Ingredients
| Pinto beans | 1/2 pound, dried | |
| Whole tomatoes | 2 Can (10oz), undrained | |
| Onions | 1 1/2 Pound, chopped | |
| Green peppers | 1 pound, chopped | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Parsley | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 2 1/2 pounds ground beef or venison | ||
| 1 pound lean ground pork | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Vegetable oil | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Chili powder | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cumin seeds | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Monosodium glutamate | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Sort and wash pinto beans.
2) Take a 6-quart Dutch oven, soak pinto beans in water, and leave it overnight.
MAKING
3) Cook the beans in water for an hour or until beans turn tender.
4) Reduce heat and add in tomatoes, allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
5) Add onion and green pepper and cook for 10 minutes or until tender, ensure to stir frequently.
6) Add garlic and parsley.
7) Take a pan, heat butter and oil, and cook meat stirring to crumble.
8) Add the cooked meat in the bean mixture, stir the remaining ingredients, cover, and simmer for one hour.
9) Uncover the pan and let it simmer for another 30 minutes.
SERVING
10) Sprinkle seasoning and serve.
