Double Deck Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
2/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted and cooled
1/3 cup Coconut
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
2 squares Unsweetened Chocolate, melted
1 square Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted
Directions
Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs thoroughly.
Gradually add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy.
Blend in butter; then stir in flour mixture.
Measure 1/2 cup into small bowl.
Stir in coconut and almond extract; set aside.
Add unsweetened chocolate to remaining batter; spread in greased 8-inch square pan.
Drop coconut batter by teaspoonfuls over chocolate batter.
Then spread carefully to form a thin layer.
Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool in pan.
Drizzle with semi-sweet chocolate.
Cut into squares or bars.
