Double Crust Delight Recipe
Ingredients
| Olive oil | 45 Milliliter | |
| Lean ground beef | 450 Gram | |
| Bacon | 115 Gram, diced | |
| Sausage meat | 225 Gram | |
| 1 finely diced onion | ||
| 1 finely diced green bell pepper | ||
| 2 fine diced celery stalks | ||
| Mushrooms | 80 Gram, sliced | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Salt | 3 Milliliter | |
| 1 ml each of basil, oregano, thyme, black pepper | ||
| Pizza sauce | 250 Milliliter | |
| Mozzarella cheese | 500 Milliliter, grated | |
| Parmesan cheese | 125 Milliliter, grated | |
| 0.5 Gourmet Crust | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
Directions
In a large pot or Dutch oven heat the oil, and cook the beef, bacon and sausage meat.
Drain the excess fat.
Add the vegetables and saute until tender.
Add the seasonings and pizza sauce.
Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Cool to room temperature.
Roll out the dough and cut into two.
Place half in a 9" (23 cm) spring form pan, fill the pan with mixture, sprinkle with cheese.
Cover with remaining dough.
Crimp edges to seal.
Trim away any excess and use to decorate.
Beat the egg and brush on dough.
Bake for 25-30 minutes in a preheated 450°F (230°C) oven, or until golden brown.
Remove from the pan, slice and serve.
