Directions
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together into mixing bowl.
Combine egg, milk, oil and vanilla; add to flour mixture.
Mix only until blended; stir in cher- ries.
Drop batter from spoon into hot deep fat; fry for 3 minutes, turning once.
Drain.
Combine con- fectioners' sugar and reserved cherry syrup; dip hot doughnuts in mixture.
