Dill Sauce for Swedish Meatballs In Dill Sauce Recipe
This Dill Sauce recipe is brilliant. I served it for a few unexpected guests with Swedish Meatballs last week and they loved it. I have been giving its recipe to all of them ever since. Try this Dill Sauce for yourself.
Ingredients
| Shortening | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Beef broth | 1 10 1/2 Ounce | |
| Light cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tsp. chopped fresh dill or 1/4 tsp. dried dill | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Melt shortening over moderate heat; blend in flour.
Let cook for a few minutes; do not brown.
Stir in broth and cream.
Cook until thick.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Stir in dill.
Add meat balls and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat turning several times.
May be served over rice or noodles.
