Apple-Tomato Chutney Recipe
This recipe of Different Tomato Chutney was picked up by me from a gourmet magazine, I twisted it a little bit to meet my taste here I am, sharing my version with you. This Different Tomato Chutney when served as Side Dish is sure to please your family members. It is always prepared with a focus on Vegetable. Ingredients
Apples - 2 pounds, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
Tomatoes - 2 pounds, coarsely chopped
Onions - 4 medium, coarsely chopped
Cider vinegar – 2 cups
Salt - 2 teaspoon
Sugar - 3 3/4 cups
Orange marmalade - 1/4 cup
Mixed pickling spices - 2 tablespoons
Directions
MAKING
1) Take a large saucepan and combine onions and tomatoes in it.
2) Add salt, vinegar, marmalade and sugar. Mix the ingredients nicely together.
3) Add the pickling spice by placing in a cheesecloth bag.
4) Bring the mixture to a boil.
5) Reduce heat and simmer for about 90 minutes or until chutney becomes thick, stirring constantly.
6) Discard the spice bag.
SERVING
7) Transfer to sterilized jars. Seal and serve.
