Dieter's Apple Cheesecake Recipe
I am sharing this recipe of Dieter's Apple Cheesecake which is near and dear to my heart. Pamper everyone with Dieter's Apple Cheesecake as Dessert. In my view, to call yourself a chef, you need to have a personal recipe of Dieter's Apple Cheesecake, just like I do.
Ingredients
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/3 cup water
1 3/4 cups unsweetened apple juice
2 eggs, separated
1/4 cup sugar
3 cups part-skim ricotta cheese
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons reduced-calorie margarine
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon brandy
2 medium-size cooking apples, unpeeled and thinly sliced
Directions
Sprinkle gelatin over water in a medium saucepan, let stand 5 minutes.
Combine apple juice, egg yolks, and sugar, stir well.
Add to gelatin, cook over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Set aside.
Combine ricotta, 1/3 cup gelatin mixture, cinnamon, and nutmeg, beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
Stir in remaining gelatin mixture, chill until consistency of unbeaten egg white.
Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until soft peaks form, fold into gelatin mixture.
Pour into an 8-inch springform pan.
Chill until firm.
Melt margarine in a skillet, add brown sugar and brandy, stirring well.
Add apples and saute until tender.
Cool and arrange on top of dessert.
