Ingredients
1 tbsp (15 ml) oil
1 tbsp (15 ml) butter
1 lb (450 g) beef cubes
14 oz (398 ml) canned tomato soup
14 oz (398 ml) canned tomatoes
3/4 Cup (180 ml) celery, chopped
14 oz (398 ml) canned mushrooms
1/2 tsp (2 ml) ginger
3 tbsp (45 ml) Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp (30 ml) brown sugar
3 tbsp (45 ml) vinegar
Garlic salt, to taste
Salt and pepper
Directions
– Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
– In a large skillet, heat oil, melt butter and sear beef cubes. Put the seared meat in a casserole dish and keep warm in oven.
– Degrease skillet, add all other ingredients and bring to a boil.
– Pour mixture over beef cubes, then cook in oven for 1 hour.
– Transfer to a hot serving dish.
