Deviled Shrimp Recipe
This deviled shrimp is a fried shrimp recipe. Prepared with a fresh shrimps dipped in a coating of beaten eggs flavored with tabasco sauce and breaded, the fried shrimps are served with a drizzle of devil sauce on top. They make first class appetizers and cocktail accompanuments!
Ingredients
Devil Sauce
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon TABASCO pepper sauce
1 quart vegetable oil
1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and cleaned
1 cup dry bread crumbs
Directions
Prepare Devil Sauce; set aside.
In shallow dish stir together eggs, salt and TABASCO sauce until well blended.
Pour oil into heavy 3-quart saucepan or deep-fat fryer, filling no more than 1/3 full.
Heat oil over medium heat to 375°F.
Dip shrimp into egg mixture, then into bread crumbs; shake off excess.
Carefully add shrimp to oil, a few at a time.
Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until golden.
Drain on paper towels.
Just before serving, drizzle Devil Sauce over shrimp.
