Deviled Mixed Nuts Recipe
Deviled mixed nuts is a peppy and spicy assorted nuts recipe that can be served as a cocktail snack or appetizer. Spiced with cumin, coriander, pepper and curry powder with a liberal dash of paprika, the deviled mixed nuts are cooked in oil and drained on paper towels before serving.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups assorted unsalted nuts, such as peanuts, almonds, Brazil nuts or walnuts
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground chili powder
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir nuts in hot oil 2 to 3 minutes or until browned.
Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl; sprinkle over nuts.
Stir to coat evenly.
Heat 1 to 2 minutes more.
Drain nuts on wire rack lined with paper towels.
