Deviled Green Beans Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 medium-size onion, chopped | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), pressed | |
| 1/2 green pepper, seeded and chopped | ||
| 1 jar (2 oz.) sliced pimentos, chopped | ||
| Prepared mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Green beans | 1 pound | |
| Shredded Cheddar cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Melt butter in a wide frying pan over medium-high heat.
Add onion, garlic, and green pepper and cook until onion is soft (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in pimentos, mustard, and tomato sauce.
Prepare and boil or steam sliced beans
Stir drained beans into tomato sauce mixture.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Spoon into a 1-quart casserole and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake in a 350° oven for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted.
