Homemade Deviled Eggs Recipe
Ingredients
| 5 hard-cooked eggs, cooled | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Vinegar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Melted butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Paprika or parsley | ||
Directions
Cut hard-cooked eggs in halves lengthwise.
Remove yolks and mash; add next five ingredients and whip until smooth and fluffy.
Heap into whites and sprinkle with a little paprika or chopped pars ley.
10 halves.
Variations: To the egg yolk mixture, add chopped crisply cooked bacon or mashed liver sausage, in the amount desired.
Anchovy or other fish pastes, or mashed sardines, may be used in the same way.
The amount of salt needed will be altered if the added ingredient is salty, so taste and add salt last.
