 Butter2 Ounce
 Sugar8 Ounce
 Eggs2
 6 oz.self raising flour
 Sour milk4 Tablespoon
 Black coffee6 Tablespoon
 Plain chocolate2 Ounce
 Soda bicarbonate1 Teaspoon
 Vanilla essence1 Teaspoon

Directions

Grease two 9 in. sandwich tins.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs gradually.
Add flour and sour milk alternately.
Pour boiling coffee on to melted choclate and add bicarbonate.
Cool a little, add to mixture with vanilla.
Bake in a moderate oven, Mark 5, 375°F., for 25 minutes.
When cold, fill and spread with frosting.
