Deutsches Hamburger Recipe

| Onion | 1 Medium, quartered | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, minced | |

| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |

| Pinch of caraway seeds or lemon peel, grated | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon, melted | |
| All purpose flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onions | 2 , thinly sliced | |
Directions
Pass the hamburger meat and ground pork through a food grinder along with the onion and the parsley.
Add the eggs, salt, pepper, caraway seeds or grated lemon peel, melted butter and flour.
Knead with your fingers until the ingredients are thoroughly blended.
Shape the meat into 8 patties, then cover and refrigerate 1 to 4 hours.
Heat the butter or fat of your choice in a heavy cast iron frying pan.
When the fat is quite hot, add the meat patties and fry on both sides.
Remove to a hot platter.
Separate the onion slices into rings and add them to the fat remaining in the pan.
Saute a few minutes over highr heat, stirring constantly until the onions are soft and golden brown.
Spon over the hamburgers.
