Derby Town Pie Recipe

1 cup heavy sweet cream whipped
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Melt butter and set aside to cool.
When butter is at room temperature, stir into beaten eggs.
Stir in salt and sugar.
Sift in flour and mix well.
Fold in chocolate bits and nuts.
Stir in bourbon or vanilla.
Turn filling into unbaked pie shell.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Top should form a glistening crust and a tester stuck into the middle of the filling should come out clean but glossy.
Set aside for two to five hours.
Before serving, reheat pie in 300 ° oven for 10 minutes.
Cover with whipped cream and serve.
