Denise's Shrimp Asparagus Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
1 (10 ounce) can asparagus, drained
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
2 cups rotini, cooked, drained
1 pound cooked deveined shrimp, tails removed
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
Cut the asparagus into 1 inch pieces.
Heat the margarine in a medium saucepan over low heat to melt.
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in the flour and cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.
Add the milk gradually and cook until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add the rotini, shrimp and asparagus; toss to coat.
Pour into a 2 quart casserole.
Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes longer.
