Deluxe Old Fashioned Fruit Cake Recipe
Ingredients

| Sugar | 1 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Orange juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vegetable oil | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 4 standard | |
| 1/4 cup dark molasses | ||
| Golden Raisins package | 1 | |
| Pitted dates package | 1 | |
| Green red | 1/3 pound, candied | |
| Candied pineapple | 1/3 pound | |
| Brazil nuts | 1/2 pound | |
Directions
Heat oven to 275°.
Line 2 baking pans, 9 x5 x3 or 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x2 1/2 inches, with aluminum foil; grease.
Beat all ingredients except fruits and nuts in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds.
Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 3 minutes.
Stir in fruits and nuts.
Spread in pans.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
If necessary, cover with aluminum foil during last hour of baking to prevent excessive browning.
Remove from pans; cool.
Wrap in plastic wrap or aluminum foil; store in cool place.
Drizzle with Sweet Glaze if desired.
