Delicious Apple Turnovers Recipe

Reduce heat to medium, and cook, uncovered, 30 to 35 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
Slightly mash apples, add 3/4 cup sugar, salt, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter, stirring well.
Divide pastry into 9 portions, roll each portion into a 6-inch circle.
Spoon 1/3 cup apple mixture on half of each circle, moisten edges of circles with water.
Fold circles in half; press edges together with a fork dipped in flour.
Heat 1/2 inch of oil to 360Â° in a large skillet.
Cook until golden, turning once, drain on paper towels.
Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, mix well.
Sprinkle over hot turnovers.
