Deep South Ham And Sweet Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
1/3 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon pumpkinpie spice
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 one pound canned ham
1 can (about 1 pound) sweet potatoes
Directions
Melt butter or margarine in a shallow baking pan while oven heats; remove and stir in honey, pumpkin pie spice, and orange juice.
Place ham and sweet potatoes in pan; stud potatoes with whole cloves, if you wish; brush all with honey mixture
Bake in moderate oven (375°), brushing several times with syrup in pan, 25 minutes, or until heated through and glazed.
Slice ham; arrange with sweet potatoes on serving plates.
Garnish ham with spiced apple rings (from a jar) and parsley, and serve with prepared mustard, if you wish.
