Deep Fried Fish Or Shallow Fried Fish Recipe
Ingredients
2 pounds fish fillets, steaks or pan-dressed fish
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup dry bread crumbs
Directions
Heat fat or oil (3 to 4 inches) to 375° in deep fat fryer or kettle, if fillets are large, cut into serving pieces.
Stir together flour, salt and pepper, coat fish with flour mixture; dip into eggs, then coat with bread crumbs.
Fry in deep fat about 4 minutes or until golden brown.
Or shallow-fry fish in hot shortening (1 1/2 to 2 inches) in skillet about 4 minutes or until brown.
