Deep Dish Tuna Pie Recipe
Ingredients
2 cans (6-1/2 oz. size) bye the sea chunk light tuna
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt, freshly ground pepper
19 oz. can small potatoes
11 oz. package frozen mixed vegetables
Plain pastry
Directions
In a saucepan, blend butter, (melted), and flour.
Slowly stir in milk, salt pepper.
Break tuna apart and add to the sauce along with its broth.
Add drained potatoes and frozen vegetables.
Transfer to 1-1/2 quart casserole.
Top with pastry.
Bake in a hot oven of 425 degrees for 1/2 hour.
This pie may be chilled then reheated.
