Deep Fried Fish Sticks Recipe
Ingredients
1 tsp (5 ml) oil
1/4 tsp (1 ml) paprika
1/2 tsp (2 ml) baking powder
1 egg
1/2 Cup (125 ml) milk
3/4 Cup (180 ml) flour
1/2 Cup (125 ml) soda biscuits, crumbled, or corn flakes
1 tsp (5 ml) salt
1 lb (450 g) frozen fish sticks
Directions
– In a deep-fryer, heat oil to 400 °F (205 °C).
– In a bowl, combine oil, paprika, baking powder, egg and milk. Add flour, soda biscuits or corn flakes, and salt. Stir.
– Coat fish sticks with this mixture, then drop into deep-fryer and fry until golden. Drain well and serve with tar-tare sauce.
