Deep Dish Blueberry Pudding Recipe
Of all the courses Dessert happens to be my favorite and Deep Dish Blueberry Pudding the recipe that represents it. If it is an impressive Dessert that you require, then this dish is the answer. I have a weakness for Fruits, thus I prepare this recipe often. With easily procurable ingredients this Deep Dish Blueberry Pudding recipe is a must try.
Ingredients
3 cups fresh, or frozen and thawed blueberries
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup orange juice
2 1/2 cups soft whole grain bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 cup butter, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a medium-size saucepan, combine blueberries and honey.
In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in orange juice.
Add to blueberry mixture, and cook over high heat until bubbly and thick, stirring constantly.
Set aside.
In a medium-size bowl, mix together bread crumbs, allspice, and butter.
Turn half of the blueberry mixture into an 8 X 5 X 3-inch pan, and top with half of bread mixture.
Repeat layers.
Bake on middle shelf of oven for 15 minutes.
