Date Pie Recipe
This Date Pie is the best refrigerated Pie I have ever made and tasted. Very simple, this date pie can be made easily with the ingredients that are readily available in your kitech cabinet. So, why don you just give it a try and indulde in the goodness of this date pie?
Ingredients
| Dates | 1 Pound, pitted | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Pastry shell | 1 , baked |
Directions
Place pitted and quartered dates in pan with water and simmer until tender.
Combine flour, sugar, salt, and milk, add drained dates, and cook, stirring constantly, until, mixture boils and thickens. Beat egg well, add small amount of date mixture to egg combine two mixtures.
Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring , constantly.
Cool and-pour into baked pastry shell chill until firm
