Date Perfections Recipe
Date Perfections are an easy to make sweet dish. I have a sweet tooth and a weakness fro fruits so its no wonder tha this dessert pleases me plenty! Try this Date Perfections recipe and you will understand why.
Ingredients
3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups dates, finely chopped
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
Lemon Glaze
Directions
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together; set aside.
Beat eggs and sugar together until mixture is thick and piled softly.
Fold in dry ingredients, dates, and pecans until blended.
Turn into a greased 11x7x1 1/2 inch baking pan and spread evenly into corners.
Bake at 325°F 30 to 35 minutes.
Immediately brush surface with Lemon Glaze.
While warm, cut into squares.
