Directions

MAKING
1) In a saucepan, mix together the sugar, milk, and butter.
2) Cook to a soft-ball stage.
3) Add in the dates, and continue to cook while stirring, till the mix thickens.
4) Remove from the heat and add in the nuts and coconut.
5) Mix well till the consistency of soft cookie dough.
6) Dip a cloth in cold water.
7) Turn out the dough onto the wet cloth.
8) Form into two 1 1/2 inch-diameter rolls.
9) Cool and slice.
10) Wrap in waxed paper.
11) Chill.

SERVING
12) Serve as a snack.
