Date Torte Bars Recipe

| Packed brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , slightly beaten | |
| Flour | 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
| Chopped nuts | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Chopped dates | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1⁄4 Teaspoon |

Directions
1) Preheat the oven to 350F.
MAKING
2) In a 8 to 9-inch saucepan, melt the butter.
3) Take the pan off the flame.
4) Into the pan, add in the brown sugar, eggs, flour, chopped nuts, dates, vanilla, baking soda and salt.
5) Beat the mixture using the fork to get a smooth and creamy mixture.
6) Bake for about 35 minutes.
SERVING
7) Slice the torte into bars or squares, as desired.
8) Dust the square or bars with powdered sugar.
