Ingredients

 Sugar3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Milk1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lump of butter
 Pitted dates 1 Pound
 Pecans2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped

Directions

Mix sugar, milk and butter and cook over low heat until a drop will lump in cold water.
Cut up dates and add to hot mixture when it is done.
Beat until cool and stiff.
Add pecans and spoon onto damp cloth.
Shape into a long loaf, roll up and place in refrigerator until hard.
Slice and serve.
Wonderful for holidays as it keeps for several weeks.
Leave in damp cloth until hard, then remove and wrap in foil.
