Date Crunch Recipe
Ingredients
| Dates - 4 ozs | ||
| Water | 1/4 Pint | |
| Rolled oats - 4 ozs | ||
| Flour - 1 1/2 ozs | ||
| Butter - 3 ozs | ||
| Sugar - 1 1/2 ozs | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven moderate to 375° F.
2. Chop dates.
MAKING
3. In a saucepan add 1/4 pint water and stew dates in it.
4. Let the mixture cool.
5. In a bowl rub butter with oats and flour.
6. Add sugar and mix completely.
7. In a grease sandwich tin fill half the oat mixture.
8. Press down firmly.
9. Spoon and spread date mixture over this.
10. Cover again with second half of the oat mixture.
11. Even the top and press down firmly.
12. Bake in oven for 3/4 hour.

13. Serve with custard sauce.
