Dark Cherry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
1 can pitted dark sweet cherries
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon molasses
Few drops red pepper seasoning
Dash of salt
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions
Drain syrup from cherries into a 2 cup measure; add water to make 1 1/2 cups.
Blend a few tablespoons syrup into cornstarch until smooth in a small saucepan; stir in remaining syrup, mustard, molasses, red pepper seasoning and salt.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils 3 minutes.
Stir in cherries and lemon juice; heat slowly just until bubbly.
Serve hot.
