Dark Fruit Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 250 Milliliter | |
| Granulated Sugar | 250 Milliliter | |

| Molasses | 250 Milliliter | |
| 250 ml strong coffee or rum | ||
| All purpose flour | 875 Milliliter | |
| 5 ml each of salt, nutmeg, baking soda and cinnamon | ||
| Cloves | 2 Milliliter | |
| Strawberry jam | 250 Milliliter | |
| Cherries | 225 Gram | |
| Fruit | 225 Gram, mixed | |
| 900 g each of raisins, dates, currents | ||
| Almond paste | 450 Gram | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 275-300 degree.
MAKING
2) Cream shortening with sugar and stir in beaten eggs, coffee, and molasses.
3) Mix well, add spices to flour, and then stir in the mixture.
4) Stir in fruit and jam.
5) Take 2 pans, grease, and divide the mixture in two halves.
6) Bake for 3 hours.
7) Spread the almond paste over the cake.

8) Use as required.
