D'Anjou Pears Recipe
D'Anjou Pears is a yummy dish that will definitely be a winner at the next party you host. I served the D'Anjou Pears last night for a party at home and my guest loved it! Don€™t miss this one out.
Ingredients
4 d'Anjou pears
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup water
Dash of salt
Dash of ginger
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
Directions
Heat oven to 325° (slow mod.).
Wash pears.
Cut thin slice from blossom end so pears will stand easily.
Leave stems on.
Place pears upright in baking dish.
Mix remaining ingredients and pour over pears.
Bake uncovered about 1 1/2 hr., or until pears are tender.
Baste syrup over pears occasionally while baking.
