Danish Souffle Recipe
I am in love with this Danish Souffle recipe as it brings such rave comments everytime I make it. Danish Souffle served as Dessert is the best food to pep me up. I thought of Simply yummy, what are the words that come to your mind instantly on tasting this Danish Souffle recipe?
Ingredients
12 slices slightly dry white bread (trim crusts)
1/2 lb. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/3 C imitation bacon bits (or 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled)
3 t frozen chives
4 eggs
2 1/2 c milk
1 t salt
1/8 t pepper
Directions
Place 6 slices of bread in bottom of oiled 8xl2x2-inch baking pan.
Sprinkle with half the cheese, bacon bits and chives.
Cover with remaining 6 bread slices and distribute remaining cheese, bacon bits and chives on top.
Beat together last four ingredients and pour over bread slices.
Let stand at least 30 minutes before baking at 325° F for 50 minutes.
