Danish Herring Salad Recipe
Ingredients
2 Ige. salt herring
2 tart apples, diced,
2 cooked beets, diced
Shredded lettuce
7 sm. cooked potatoes, diced
3 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. olive oil
Directions
Remove skin and bones from herring; cut into small pieces.
Add apples, beets, shredded lettuce and potatoes; mix well.
Add vinegar and olive oil; toss lightly.
Serve garnished with eggs, onions and pickles.
