Danish Applesauce Muffins Recipe
Danish Applesauce Muffins are simply one of the most delicious muffins I have come across. I prepare it for my tots as a snack. Serve the Danish Applesauce Muffins for your family and see how they fall in love with it!
Ingredients
1 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar Packed
1/2 Cup Shortening, Melted
13/4 Cups Unbleached Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp. Ground Cloves
1/2 Cup Walnuts (Optional)
Directions
Mix applesauce, brown sugar, and shortening together in large bowl.
Sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves in another bowl.
Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and add applesauce mixture.
Stir together, folding as lightly as possible.
Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake until lightly browned.
The addition of walnuts to the recipe adds a crunch taste and a delicious flavor, if you wish.
Bake at 375 degrees 25 to 30 minutes
