Ridge gourd -1
Toor dal- 1 cup
Garlic pods- 4
Onion-1
Tomato-1
salt to taste
Oil 1tbsp
mustard seeds 1tsp
cumin seeds 1tsp
red chillies 1
Curry Leaves-1 twigs
Hing-1tsp
Sambar pd-2tsp
Tamarind Juice-2tsp
Water-little
Directions
Cook dal with onion,tomato,garlic,(Wash n cut the ridge gourd into small pieces)ridge groud,haldi,water in a cooker take it out when it comes 2 whistle.allow to cool.
Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing,red chillies(broken), green chillies (option), garlic pods and fry for 1min.Now add the cooked dal,sambar pd,tamarind juice,salt, water -1cup and allow to boil,when bubbles come taste it.and keep until the dal is thick.add little water if it is more thick,and take it out . Garnish with coriander.
Serve with hot rice and ghee.
