Dal stuffed bitter gourd Recipe
Bitter gourd contains a hypoGlycemic or insulin like property also known as plant insulin which is highly beneficial in lowering the blood sugar levels.
Ingredients
| 10 medium bitter gourds | ||
| 70 grams masoor dal | ||
| Moong Dal | 70 Gram | |
| 70 grams arghar dal | ||
| Tomato | 1 , chopped | |
| Juice of 1 lime | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Refined oil as required | ||
Directions
1.Wash the bitter gourds. Make a slit in the middle lengthwise and take out the seeds and pith.
2.Steam the gourds till half done.
3.Cook all dals in little water till soft. Drain and keep aside.
4.Heat 1 tsp oil in the non stick pan and add the ground paste
5.Add the cooked dals and salt, slit fry.
6.Add the chopped tomato and fry the dl mix till the tomato gets well mixed.
7.Add lime juice and keep aside
8.Divide the dal mixture in 10 equal portions. Stuff into prepared bitter gourds
9.Heat 1tbsp oil in a nonstick skillet and fry the stuffed gourds till light brown.
