Ingredients

 1/2 cup mixed dal soaked overnight
 Garlic – ginger paste1 Teaspoon
 Chopped onions1 Teaspoon, fried
 1/4 tsp roasted and powdered cummin seed
 1/4 tsp coriander seed powder
 1 finely chopped chilli
 Turmeric powder1/4 Teaspoon
 Garam masala1/2 Teaspoon
 1 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves
 Vinegar1 Teaspoon
 Dry breadcrumbs
 Oil for shallow frying
 1 onion cut into slices
 Coriander sprig1 (TO GARNISH:)
 Lemon slices
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

Boil dal until mushy and the water is completely absorbed.
Cool and mash with a fork.
Mix all the ingredients up to salt and pepper together and make into 2 x 1/4 thick round patties.
When ready to serve, coat on both sides with bread crumbs and shallow fry.
