Dal Palak Recipe
I like this healthy Dal Palak Recipe. This recipe will help you in living longer. Dal Palak is an Indian dish mostly eaten during lunch. It goes well with plain rice, but it can also be eaten with roti. You should try this Dal Palak recipe.

Ingredients

| Cooking oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 3 Cup (48 tbs) | |
| Bay leaf | 2 (For Seasoning / Phoron) | |
| Cumin seeds | 1⁄2 Teaspoon (For Seasoning / Phoron) | |
| Finely chopped onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garam masala powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Red lentil | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chopped spinach | 12 Ounce | |
| Green peas | 8 Ounce | |
| Chopped tomato | 2 | |
| Green chili | 4 , sliced | |
| Turmeric powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Finely chopped garlic | 2 Clove (10 gm) | |
| Finely chopped ginger | 1⁄2 Inch | |
| Cilantro | 8 , chopped | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon |
Directions
1. Boil the lentil in a deep bottomed pan along with spinach, green peas, tomatoes, turmeric powder and green chilies. Cook on high heat till the lentil starts boiling, then cook on low heat till they are cooked.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add the Bay leaf and cumin seeds. Fry for a minute. (this process is called seasoning or forum)
3. Fry onion, ginger and garlic till it turns light brown.
4. Add the cooked dal and bring to boil. Add garam masala powder. Add salt and sugar. Cook in medium to slow heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with rice or roti.
