Dahi Chane Ki Sabji Recipe

Dahi chane ki sabzi ia a cooked red gram preparation with curd. Cooked with gram flour along with the flavors of bay leaf, mustard seeds, ginger, green chilies and turmeric, the dahi chane ki sabzi is best served with chopped coriander as garnish.This is a special low sugar recipe great for diabetics as well as for people on low carb diet. Ingredients

 Whole red gram1 Cup (16 tbs), soaked overnight (Red Chana)
 Jeera1⁄2 Teaspoon (Cumin Seeds)
 Mustard seeds1⁄4 Teaspoon (Rai)
 Bay leaf2 (Tej Patta)
 Whole red chilies4
 Asafoetida1⁄8 Teaspoon
 Ginger green chili paste1 Teaspoon
 Chili powder1 Teaspoon
 Turmeric powder1⁄4 Teaspoon
 Low fat curd1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Besan2 Teaspoon (Bengal Gram Flour)
 Oil1 Teaspoon
 Salt To Taste
 Chopped coriander4 Tablespoon (For The Garnish)

Directions

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, bay leaves, red chillies and asafoetida.
When the seeds crackle, add red chana, ginger green chilli paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt with 2 cups of water.
Pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
Whisk curd and gram flour together and add the mixture to the cooked chana.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
Stir this continuously till the mixture comes to a boil, since the curd can split if not stirred.
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
