Dal Gosht Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Yellow Split Peas
1 Lb. Boneless Beef Stew
1 Medium Onion
1 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Paprika
1/4 Tsp. Red Crushed Chili Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Ground Cumin
1/2 Tsp. Ground Coriander
1/2 Tsp. Italian Seasoning
1 Tbs. Oil
Optional: Few Boiling Onions, 2 Carrots, Big Pieces of Cut Green Beans
Directions
Heat 1 tbs. oil to smoking point; add chopped onion, stew pieces and brown meat until it loses its red color.
Add spices and dal or split peas.
Add 1 cup water and cook in a pressure cooker 15 minutes after pressure is built up.
Serve over plain, steamed white rice, about 1 to1 1/2 cups.
Serves 4 to 6 adults.
If desired, add vegetables.
