Custard Sauce No. 2 Recipe
Ingredients
1 egg
5 teaspoons sugar (approx.)
1 1/2 teacups milk, a few drops vanilla essence
Directions
1. Beat the egg and sugar together.
2. Pour in the milk.
3. Cook in a double boiler or in a basin over hot water. Cook very gently until the mixture just coats the back of a wooden spoon.
4. Cool and add the vanilla essence.
