Simple Custard Sauce Recipe
Custard Sauce is a dessert sauce. Custard Sauce gets its taste from eggs mixed with milk and flavored with vanilla extracts. Custard Sauce is used to make different varieties of dessert recipes.
Ingredients
4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/4 cup sugar
Pinch salt
2 cups milk, scalded
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
In top of double boiler, mix egg yolks, sugar and salt until well blended.
Slowly add milk, stirring constantly.
Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to thicken.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Refrigerate
