Easy Custard Pie Recipe
Even James Bond was not able to access this highly classified recipe of Custard Pie. Now I am outing it for all on the web. It is most popularly enjoyed as a Dessert. I am eagerly waiting to know what you think about this Custard Pie. Send me a note!
Ingredients
Pastry for 9-inch 1-crust pie or 1/2 10- to 11-ounce package piecrust mix
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Whipped cream, toasted coconut, or chopped nuts for garnish
Directions
1. Prepare pastry for 1-crust pie; use to line 9-inch pie plate. With fingertips, rub butter or margarine evenly over piecrust; refrigerate.
2. Preheat oven to 425°F. In medium-sized bowl, with wire whisk or fork, beat milk and remaining ingredients except garnish until blended. Place pie plate on oven rack; pour milk mixture into piecrust.
3. Bake pie 20 to 25 minutes until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Cool pie on wire rack; refrigerate.
