2 cup water
 
3 tsp cornstarch
 
2 tsp vanilla extract
 
1 eggyolk
 
4.5 oz. fructose-sweetened white frosting mix
 
1 tsp any flavoring or extract food coloring, if desired

Directions

Combine water, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and egg yolk in a nonstick saucepan.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is very thick.
Transfer to a large, preferably narrow, mixing bowl.
Chill thoroughly.
Beat in frosting mix and flavoring or extract of your choice.
Add food coloring, if desired.
Beat until smooth and creamy for spreading.
