Directions

Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat.
Add onion; saute, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes, until golden.
Remove from heat Combine flour, curry powder, sugar, salt, ginger, and pepper; stir into onion mixture.
Return to heat; add milk gradually, stirring constantly.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to boil.
Reduce heat; simmer until thick.
Stir in lemon juice.
