Ingredients

 
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
1 tablespoon flour
 
1 teaspoon curry powder
 
1 (10-ounce) can chicken gravy
 
1/2 cup sliced canned mushrooms, drained
 
1/2 cup cooked peas
 
1 1/2 cups diced cooked chicken
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
 
2 tablespoons sherry, Enough potato flakes to make 4 servings

Directions

Heat oven to 350 °F.
Melt butter or margarine, and stir in flour and curry powder.
Gradually add chicken gravy.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
Stir in mushrooms, peas, chicken, seasonings and sherry.
Pour into casserole.
Prepare instant mashed potato flakes according to package directions.
Press through pastry tube to form decorative potato border, or drop in rough mounds over chicken mixture.
Bake 15—20 minutes or until potatoes are delicately browned.
