Curried Split Pea Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Green peas package | 1 , drained, rinsed | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Boiling water | 6 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 1/2 tablespoons Madras curry powder | ||
| 6 carrots, peeled and chopped | ||
| Celery ribs | 2 , chopped | |
| 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt, or more to taste | ||
| 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper, or more to taste | ||
| Canadian bacon | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
1. In a 4- or 5-quart electric slow cooker, mix together all the ingredients except 1/2 tablespoon of the curry powder.
2. Cover and cook on the low heat setting 9 to 10 hours. Stir in the remaining 1/2 tablespoon curry powder. Add more seasoned salt and pepper to taste, if needed.
