6 cups boiling water
2 1/2 tablespoons Madras curry powder
6 carrots, peeled and chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt, or more to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper, or more to taste
1 cup chopped Canadian bacon
Directions
1. In a 4- or 5-quart electric slow cooker, mix together all the ingredients except 1/2 tablespoon of the curry powder.
2. Cover and cook on the low heat setting 9 to 10 hours. Stir in the remaining 1/2 tablespoon curry powder. Add more seasoned salt and pepper to taste, if needed.
