Curried Pork Steaks With Apple Onion Recipe
Ingredients
4 slices (1 pound) boned thick flank of pork
3 tablespoons butter
Coating:
1 egg, beaten
3 ounces finely sifted bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
Apple onion:
1 large sour apple, chopped
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
Chopped parsley
Directions
1. Flatten the pork slices and coat them with the beaten egg. Dip in bread crumbs seasoned with salt and curry powder. Set pork aside until the coating dries.
2. Heat the butter in a heavy frying pan and fry the pork over medium heat for about 6 minutes on each side. Place the cooked pork on a heated serving dish.
3. Saute the chopped onion until transparent. Add the chopped apple and saute until the apple is soft. Stir in chopped parsley. Distribute mixture on the pork and place on a bed of boiled rice mixed with butter and curry powder.
