| Pineapple chunks | 1 Can (10oz) | |

| Onion | 1 Medium, cut into strips | |
| 1 medium-size green pepper, cut into strips | ||
| Celery | 1 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Curry powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Orange juice | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cooked ham | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Slivered almonds | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), toasted | |
| 3 or 4 water chestnuts, sliced | ||
| Hot cooked rice | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Take the pineapple chunks out of the can and keep the juice aside.
2. Put water in the juice to make it equal to a cup.
MAKING
3. Take a heavy skillet, heat butter and put onion, green pepper, celery and curry powder in it.
4. Let the ingredients cook for 20 minutes on low flame with the lid on.
5. Add cornstarch and stir well.
6. Put pineapple juice, orange juice and pineapple in it and cook on low flame by stirring till the mixture thickens and gets frothy.
7. Cook for 1 more minute and add ham, almonds, and water chestnuts.
8. Once heated, turn off the heat.
SERVING
9. Toss over hot cooked rice and serve.
